Services We Offer

Here at SheCor Cares, we offer several different programs and services that will enhance the individual, family, and community.  Some of these programs are still in the design phase so that we can implement them in communities.

Art, Music, and Dance

Inspiring children and senior citizens to appreciate art, music, and dance is what we do.  This can be beneficial throughout all stages of life. It can help children be better students and improve quality of life for seniors. The creative process relieves burdensome stress, encourages creative thinking, boosts self-esteem, and provides a sense of accomplishment.

Healthy University (HU)

Staying healthy physically can help you stay healthy emotionally too. If you're eating the right food and keeping fit, your body will be strong and help you to cope with stress and also fight illness. Eating well and exercising often when you're a teenager will also help you stay in good health later in life.  Our Healthy University will teach and motivate you to be your best

healthy self.

Farm To Table

The Farm to School or Farm to Table programs enable young children to gain access to healthy, nutritious food as well as educational opportunities such as farm field trips, garden-based learning, cooking lessons, and recycling programs. The farm-to-school approach helps children and families understand where their food comes from and how their food choices can impact their health, the environment, and

their community.

Adult Literacy and Education

We offer adult education and literacy programs that help adults acquire the basic skills they need including reading, writing, math, English language proficiency, and problem-solving to be productive workers, family members,

and citizens.

Peer to Peer Tutoring

Here at SheCor Cares we believe that peer tutoring allows for higher rates of student response and feedback, which results in better academic achievement. It also creates more opportunities for students to practice specific skills, which leads to better retention. The student tutor gains a deeper understanding of a topic by teaching it to another student.

Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is the possession of the set of skills and knowledge that allows an individual to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources.  We offer financial seminars to single mothers to help them be more secure economically.  Click below to find out when the next seminar will be held.
